Hello, Dear Ones!
My Christmasing is done ~ my decorating, my shopping, most of my do ahead cooking and now I'm just waiting for my little family to arrive.
I've so enjoyed touring your beautiful homes and feeling so welcome there.
And now, I'd like to let you take a little tour of my Christmased up home.
It's a beautiful day here on our little island, about 68'.
But I'm pretending it's cooler! ;)
Come on in and there's Chloe Dawn to greet you at the door.
She'd give you a cookie but I think she ate them all! ;)
My tree is always in the entry. You may have seen this snap already but it looks a little different now.
Santa Claus called and asked if he could come early since he was so busy this year
and of course I said yes!
There's packages under there now.
On the left side of the entry is the living room!
Really simple Christmasing in here this year.
Chloe Dawn popped into my snap!
That girl. :)
If you visit me often, you've seen some of these snaps already.
Here's my simple centerpiece on the dining room table.
Now we'll head to the den...
I lit the fire so it would feel a little more like Christmas.
This is a fake fire. Well, it's real fire but the log are not real.
But it's so life like and even has little embers that glow!
I've mentioned before, my decorating this year is for my little granddaughter who's coming for Christmas!

I've mentioned before, my decorating this year is for my little granddaughter who's coming for Christmas!
This is a wreath I've made twice.
First wreath was just the balls on the wreath that I made years and years ago.
Then last year I saw a wreath on Pinterest and decided to do my take on it.
So I took a green wreath and sprayed it with some white paint and tied on the ball wreath,
bow and bird and then I had another wreath!
bow and bird and then I had another wreath!
You know how talented I am! :)
Teasing, I'm always teasing.
Found that pretty vase at Costco for $13 and poked it full of some old Christmas balls that used to hang on my tree when I was a little girl.
I wanted you to see my Murano glass couple too.
Now we're in the breakfast room.
Centerpiece on the table.
I was out shopping in Marshalls the other day and this tiny little cloche was just calling my name so I had to have her!
Bunny Foo Foo is waiting for Carter to come.
She's keeping this little highchair warm just for her.
Carter may think she's too big to sit in it but we'll give it a try.
You've seen my baker's rack all Christmased up.
Now let's step over into my tiny little kitchen...
Lots of pretty sunshine coming through the window today.

I asked Carter what she wanted for Christmas and she screamed, "Candy Canes!"

I asked Carter what she wanted for Christmas and she screamed, "Candy Canes!"
Well, she's not quite three years old so I guess candy canes are really important to her.
No problem!
Mr. Precious grabbed my little feather tree and I bought some candy canes to poke on it.
When she gets here she'll see the candy cane tree waiting for her.
I can't wait to see her little face.
Well, you know me, gotta have a few Roos around.
The sun is setting and I've turned on my outside lights for you!
I have so enjoyed blogging with you sweet friends
and have so enjoyed getting to meet so many new friends this year.
May you all have a blessed Christmas and I'll see you probably next year as I will be enjoying my family.
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Silent Night
Silent night! holy night!
All is calm all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace!
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night! holy night!
Son of God love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at thy birth
Jesus, Lord at thy birth
Silent night! holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia
Christ the Saviour is born
Christ the Saviour is born!
All is calm all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace!
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night! holy night!
Son of God love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at thy birth
Jesus, Lord at thy birth
Silent night! holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia
Christ the Saviour is born
Christ the Saviour is born!
~ sung by us all

ReplyDeleteShelia, you have such a beautiful home. Thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteDear Sheila,
ReplyDeleteYour home is always lovely, but this season you have outdone yourself. I have always liked the way the lights from your tree shine through the leaded glass of your front door. This year, in our new house, I borrowed this idea from you and love the way it turned out. My favorite photo is the one of Chloe Dawn in the open doorway of your foyer. When I took an identical picture of my entry, our cat, Einstein, showed up in the photo too. Those animals always know when someone opens a door, don't they!
Kelly Roehrkasse

Happy New Year and looking forward for more home decor idea in this year. Your home looks lovely and beautiful. I have one little suggestion that everyone of us can always opt for eco friendly home decor which is the need for the current environment.
