Okay! I wanted to show you what I have sitting on my breakfast room table today! Flowers!! I know you're not surprised since most of us place flowers on our tables from time to time. :)
A little mosaic of my Deadheads! They are lovely aren't they?
Come a little bit closer you're my kind of man so big and so strong - that's a song by Jay and the Americans! I'm just haunted by songs. I meant for you to come closer to see the pretty hydrangeas. So let me get back (Get Back - by the Beatles! I need to stop this. I think I need help!) ...Help, I need someone!...to my Deadheads! Listen, do you hear anything? Very soft singing perhaps? :)I'm joining Our Dear Mary at Dear Little Red House for Mosaic Monday,

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Ripple
If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung
Would you hear my voice come through the music?
Would you hold it near, as it were your own?
It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken
Perhaps they're better left unsung
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air
Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
Nor wind to blow
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty
If your cup is full may it be again
Let it be known there is a fountain
That was not made by the hands of man
There is a road, no simple highway
Between the dawn and the dark of night
And if you go, no one may follow
That path is for your steps alone
Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
Nor wind to blow
You who choose to lead must follow
But if you fall, you fall alone
If you should stand, then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way, I would take you home

ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous ... love your fauxs! Your fabulous ivory vase and pitchers look terrific filled with those great fauxs and deadheads!
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful! The flowers and the vase, and pitchers. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou always bring a smile...and I love your deadheads!
ReplyDeleteKaren
Hi Shelia. :) Your hydrangea arrangement is gorgeous! Love the deadheads that are laying down on the table. Perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteNow this working girl is going to try and be present for the party. Glad for the advanced notice.
They are pretty..dead or alive..amazing! ;D
ReplyDeleteThe hydrangea are dried and they look wonderful. The whole arrangement is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful floral display, Sheila. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI am mighty grateful I saw your Deadheads as they are so pretty. hugs♥olive
ReplyDeleteSilk flowers have come a long way! When I worked in a florist shop for a short while I honestly could not tell the real from the faux orchids without feeling them.
ReplyDeleteI've marked your kitchen party on my calendar and plan to attend. Wednesday I get a new countertop and after that, backsplash of ceramic tiles and I can hardly wait to have my kitchen back.
Hi Shiela,
ReplyDeleteYour little deadheads are so pretty. You cut them at just the right time. I always think that I'll cut some off my moms bush but never seem to make it in time. One day they are beautiful and the next time I see them they are turning brown.
I love the arrangement, too!
Fondly,
Ann

ReplyDeletePatricia :o)
Beautiful hydrangeas on your table and I'm so glad that you're not afraid of "silk."
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia

I've always referred to them as dried...but deadheads sounds so much cooler...more cool...eeehhh well it sounds much cuter...love it!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful arrangements, and the containers are wonderful, really make the color of the flowers pop. Thanks for sharing and for visiting.
ReplyDeleteSandy
The hydrangeas are really pretty, Shelia but I would just call them dried instead of deadheads, lol. I think it sounds better.....Christine
ReplyDeleteI think they look fabulous and I would not have known that they were faux until you mentioned it!!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!!
Debbie
Just beautiful! Your dried hydrangeas look amazing...so how about just calling them gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThey look so lovely. You did a beautiful job displaying them.
ReplyDeleteWillow
Hi, Sheila. Yes, I love them too! Your arrangement looks gorgeous, and I really do love dried hydrangeas also. You are lucky to have real hydrangeas in your backyard and dried your own -- I had to buy mine from Ebay! I am hoping to join your Oct 13 party and maybe I should include my dried hydrangeas for you. Oh, and I love faux silk flowers too, like you! :)
ReplyDeleteBest regards,
Gloria
Your arrangement is just beautiful, I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteYour arrangements of faux or semi-faux are gorgeous. So soft and pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe color of your dried hydrangeas are stunning. They are natural not faux you silly willy. I love faux, too since I don't have the real thing.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Shelia, I have been out of town the past four days and came back home late last night. My sister went on an antique buying trip and I went along to keep her company. We were all the way up in Ohio. Fun, fun, fun. I'm glad to be home again though.
ReplyDeleteI too love your faux flowers. I was sure they were real. Very pretty and I adore dried hydrangeas. They are lovely. You do crack me up with all your references to songs. My sisters and I do the same thing all the time. We too LOVE music. It makes me happy just to hear it anytime I am feeling low. That is not often. HA!
Love, Jeanne xoxoxo
Hi Shelia, your flowers are beautiful....the colors are out of this world. Love them!

I have been taking so many photos of my HUMBLE and slightly OLDEN kitchen, getting all ready for the par-tay......just can't wait.

ReplyDeleteHi Sheila! I'm with ya on fauxs!!!! They've found their way into my home, too, and I just adore them. So many times I want to fill my pitchers with flowers, and there just isn't anything worth picking out in the garden. So out come the fauxs. They always add just the right touch. And today's fauxs are so incredibly real looking, too! Love the your centerpiece. Very pretty! Happy MM to you!

I'm glad I stopped by this morning - you have me chuckling before my first cup of coffee!
ReplyDeleteI do love your mix of faux and deadheads - and I also have the problem of songs popping into my head when I hear certain words during conversations and even my own thoughts! It is enough to make you crazy sometimes...especially when I am compelled to share the songs with whoever I happen to be with.
Blessings
