The Last of Christmas

Hello, Dear Ones! I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration with your families and friends. We had a sweet and quiet one here at Notesongs cottage! I'm not really here but traveling with my retired Mr. Precious! Well, not retired - he's turned the page and is at a new chapterness in his life! I keep forgetting to say that! :) I preposted a few times so you all wouldn't forget about me! I love Blogland and I love all of you, my Dear Sweeties! :)

Did you notice I made a new Note Songs header? Yep, I did! :) I'm so wonderful, you know! :)
I am kidding!

Christmas dinner at our house was very simple without lots of hoopla and it was nice. I've decided next year I'm going to prepare something so non traditional for us - maybe mexican! I'm getting tired of turkey or hamness! :(

Here was our tiny little Christmas table - no sparkles, no grandiosoness, just tiny food and family! We had a spiral cut turkey breast, cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce, scalloped potatoes, leftover ham (LOL), salad, rolls and chocolate cake. This time of year I wasn't quite up to par so the turkey breast was already cooked, I had leftover dressing that I froze from Thanksgiving, Mother made the cake, store bought brown and serve rolls, salad in a bag...you're getting the picture. I did peel and slice the potatoes and prepared that dish but all was pretty easy for me. I liked that.

Here's the centerpiece, well I guess you would call it the 'end piece' since I placed it at the end of the table. :) You can do things like this you know! I lit the candles and placed some cute little glass red pinecone ornaments all around and then added my new little Santie salt & peppers! Now you know I love my tiny little Santie salt & pepper shakers! Can you love TLSS&PS (that's abbreviated) ? Yes, yes, you can love little TLSS&PS! You bet your little tiny opened Christmas presents you can!

Here is my simple little table setting. I placed down some Christmasy colored placemats with matching napkins held in tiny little Christmas tree napkin holders. I used my every day Pfaltzgraff flatware and clear glass ice tea glasses.

These little Jim Shore Santie plates are the only things I bought new for my table this year! Isn't this so cute? I only bought four plates and there's a different Santie on each one! Just had to show you one since they're going back up in the cabinet soon.

Dinner plates are olden. I bought these at Target maybe five or so years ago and I bought enough for 24! I really do love them. Can you love Christmas dinner plates from Taget? You bet your tiny little red bullseyes you can!

Well, shoot! I've done lied to you. I did buy these little tiny square bread plates too! I forgot. These are so sweet too. Again, I only bought four and each one has a different stocking and each one spreads love, joy, peace and something else - probably butter. I am quite olden, you know! Oh, don't look at those pitiful little brown and serve rolls! They kinda got squshed!

Life at Note Songs cottage is so not perfect - look! Mr. Precious just couldn't wait and so he sampled! He sampled really big too! That little booger. Just because he's started a new chapter in his tiny life...I'm going to have to give him an adjustment! :)

Here we are in all of our tiny Christmasness. Mother looking good and feeling pretty good from her broken arm she busted up last year, Mr. Precious looking like a little stinker who needs an adjustment, you can't see her - but Chloe Dawn is under the table begging for turkey and me in all of my peakedness!
