Met Monday

Hello Dear Ones! I'm joining you all for Met Monday. We thank our Dear Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting this wondrous event each Monday. Please pop over to see her for more transformations.

If you visit me very often then you know I've been popping in and out from traveling. Well, I'm so excited to say we're home for a few days! Oh Joyness!
The downside of traveling is unpacking all the suitcases, sorting the dirty clothes and then doing seven hundred million loads of laundry. So from dirty...


...to clean! Oh, please don't tell Joan Crawford's ghost I have a couple of wire hangers here. Do you remember "NO MORE WIRE HANGERS!" I think I'm almost scared!


Well, how wonderful to be home but...soon, this little bag will transform from empty to full again with clean clothes again. I'll be gone again for a little while and then that's all the traveling I want to do for a while. But since I'm so modern now with my tiny laptop, I'll be checking in with you!

    I know just how you feel. I have been unpacking/washing/ironing for the past few days too!
    I hope you have a relaxing time before you are off again. I can't imagine where you are going now! Somewhere lovely I am sure. By the way Atlantis is now top of my daughter's trip wish list thanks to you. Have a great time wherever you are headed. Keep safe and don't forget your camera.

  5. I am glad you are home!!! I just got to my home too...camping makes for a LOT of laundry...so I am in sympathy with you....lol....I am not going too far...hockey school starts tomorrow...so I won't be home...but will be close enough to do my own yard work!!!

  6. Oh, dearness...I just got home last night from a beautiful mountain fishing trip in the Colorado mountains...a whole week.
    I am up to my armpits in washing those dirty, fishy clothes...tomorrow, all will be normal again!!

  17. I actually don't mind unpacking so much - all of the clothes are unloaded straight into the laundry room and taken care of. It is the packing that is a challenge - when we travel, I am packing for myself and three kids (luckily DH takes care of himself) - picking out clothes for 4 people gets to be a challenge!

  18. Shelia, It seems that is what Summer is about...traveling. Roy and I like to wait until school is in progress, so the crowds are smaller. I know about coming home...everytime I say no more.

  19. I like packing - strongly dislike unpacking.
    My husband strongly dislikes packing - likes unpacking, so it works out for us.
    Wire hangers. Don't ya just love it when several get tangled in a bag or box? [it reduces me to lying on the floor and crying]lol.

  20. Funny, I have clothes in my suitcase from my trip 2 weeks ago, but no magical transformation has happened yet...keep waiting to see them fresh and clean and hanging up on my nice wire hangers in my closet! ;0)

  23. Oh I know that your poor little head is tired from all of that traveling while roughing it at the tiny hotels, like Fontainebleau in Miami.

    And now, washing all of those loads! I guess that's why you did not see the blues, which would enable you to link in to Blue Monday.

  26. My! It is overwhelming at times, isn't it? The laundry is the worse part of traveling. My daughter is a flight attendant and that packing/unpacking would get to me in a hurry but she takes it all in stride. I scrolled down to your last week's tablescape and it is WONDERFUL! Sorry I missed it. I love those sweet embroidered napkins especially, and those dragon fly napkin rings. Oh, don't we have fun with our dishes and such?

  30. Aha! I am not alone in this I see. I just tossed two wire hangers from my sweet new husbands (1 year!) closet..and felt...wasteful but felt somewhat better for it knowing the ghost of Joan Crawford approved! Now...why is that do you suppose?? :)

  39. Hello Sheila, get some rest with all that traveling girl. I loved our summer but it did wear me out. I smiled when you showed your clothes and suitcase. It brought back all the traveling we did this summer. I do know you are having a wonderful time. Is your laptop what you expected? I love mine and use nothing else.
